What Are Financial Management Services (FMS)?

Financial Management Services (FMS) are designed for individuals who wish to self-direct their services through Consumer Directed Community Supports (CDCS) or the Consumer Support Grant (CSG). Both CDCS and CSG programs provide individuals with the flexibility and control to tailor their service planning and supports, facilitating greater independence in their homes and communities.

Minnesota Quality Care FMS offers comprehensive support for participants who want to take charge of their care. We assist with managing budgets and support participants in their role as employers of their own caregivers. Many participants use CDCS or CSG to hire family members, friends, or trusted individuals, giving them the freedom to set pay rates and offer other employee benefits. Our experienced team helps streamline the process, ensuring all aspects of employment, including payroll, workers’ compensation enrollment, and tax filings, are handled smoothly.
